Call Me Frugal

 I delight in a sweet extent. One of my sisters-in-law has a expression that, “You can only dispose of your dollar once,” and she is so rectilinear. Becky would be egotistical of my frugality on Saturday.

My first close up was a swap and store event at house of god, an event like to a big indoor compound sale. No cash is exchanged, lawful “raw material.” I had gathered a few things to swap, including a few articles of garments, a lamp, a print, some purses, and a looking-glass. When I drove into the parking lot, a pair of women who were established outside came over to take a gaze at my box of goodies, and one of them took the cute small blue lamp before I even got interior.

When I got inside, I realized that the family in charge were positively packing up. Somehow I got my duration confused, for I musing it was to last until noon. No moot point. I saw exactly what I needed straight away: toys for tots. I made a beeline for the pl of child’s toys and was quick to get nine or ten items independent of charge…except for the movables I had brought to swap. It gives me big pleasure to exercise the mind of the tiniest of our granddaughters, those 1 and under, acquisition of knowledge to identify sounds and literature.

Perfectly contented with my “purchases,” I flock back into the neighborhood and speckled a sign that uttered “Compound SALE.” I didn’t clutch the address so I herd around checking out the moderately beautiful yards and flowers until I speckled bargain hunters rummaging through treasures arranged atop a hillside compound: antique furniture, dishes, garments, wall art, and so onward. To sweeten the actual feeling, there was Sophia, a loved associate from church. She found a fine hall slab and mirror and was clever to get it for a terrific value. I found a antique stool covered in a charming tapestry that has found a dwelling in the bedroom. I also bought a two of festive looking ring slacks, a swarthy and white streaked blouse, and two magnets…all for the diminutive price of  $29.
